Seriously. Outage like this hasn't happened in a considerable amount of time and things like this happen - get over it, and no, CCP won't compensate you for not being able to play for a day. Cry moar?

would be nice if all the players will stop paying for one day ( i.e. only reactivate your account one day after it expires ). wanna bet CCP will start compensate after that ?
I don't bet. And obvious answer is obvious: They won't.

Highest I have ever seen was on a Sunday afternoon a long while back, and it was like 62,000 people. On average I see 50,000 online when I log in.
